I was not always an internet marketer. For over sixteen years I was actually in the carpet cleaning industry and ran my own carpet cleaning business for seven of those years.
I realised one day that I really didn’t want to keep working as a carpet cleaner as it was not going to give me what I wanted out of life so I tried a couple of business ventures.
One of the first things I tried was network marketing. I bet you know how far I got with that right… well I did ok but the problem was the money really was not good and the people coming in were not achieving any real money making results, not really.
Eventually I got out of the MLM industry and moved into the internet marketing industry.
After reading about the many success storied I decided to give internet marketing a good go. Within a month and a half I was hooked and decided that the only way to really give it my all was to get involved full time. You see I worked long hours and by the time I got home I really didn’t feel like working anymore so the majority of my work online was reading and learning.
Ok, decision time. I chose to sell my successful carpet cleaning business and commit to internet marketing. I didn’t make this decision lightly, after all I had a mortgage and bills to pay.
After careful planning I sold the cleaning business and planned to use the funds to stay on top pf bills and payments for a full twelve months. Plus I kept enough to start some serious learning and seminaring.
After many months I had still not earned a single dime and I was completely frustrated and was beginning to wonder if I should have ever got out of the cleaning business. I was not in a good place.
I paid for internet marketing seminar after seminar and e-book after e-book. I could not even comprehend the lingo let alone the nonsense and what seemed to be blatant lies that tell you the course is for a total beginner…what a load on baloney.
Here’s the thing, I had enough money to pay my bills for twelve months and I planned for increases plus I kept around $40,000 for my education and investing into my internet marketing. Well I was into month ten and had used up my forty thousand and started to take the little I had left for my bills.
By the twelfth month the banks and credit card companies were calling and I had no idea what to do.
Well I’m sure you can guess the rest… I lost my home, my car, the motorbike and they even took one of my computers. I was in the most unhappy situation life has ever dished out to me. When a grown man is brought to tears I can tell you it feels hopeless.
For some time I didn’t know what to do. I was in such a state of depression that I didn’t get a job and nor did I have any money coming in for the bare essentials like food. I slept on the street for two nights and felt like my life was at an end.
I had a friend help me and put a roof over my head. He let me stay with him and allowed me to share his meals…well things are starting to look up.
I eventually took a real good look at my life. I told myself that I can make still make something special of my life and become wealthy again. Get back my self respect and worth. I wanted to have a family and be able to support someone special in my life. Be able to give because I had plenty to give. I wanted to have the nice things in life…don’t we all?
I decided to get back on track and learn internet marketing because I sill believed the internet was the place to be.
As my friend (where I was staying) had an internet connection and I still had one computer left I re-committed and became very serious. The challenge remained the same as before…I just couldn’t make anything work. Basically I didn’t understand how to or what to do.
After some time I searched online for a professional internet marketer that was in my p[art of the world who I could make contact with. I rang many so called professionals and emailed even more. From the many potential contacts only one from over 52 people I believe the number was took the time to talk to me. John Bertone from the internet marketing institute of Australia.
I sat with him for about an hour at his local coffee shop and discussed many topics. We got along very well. I asked when his next seminar was on and I booked in with him immediately. Lucky it was a free one J
On the day of the seminar I was taken back at the raw information he gave out…and for free. I had never learnt this stuff before I was thinking. Well after that day John had a two day seminar that he was promoting for two thousand dollars. I didn’t know how but all I knew was that I was going.
I won’t tell you exactly how I got the money except that I did literally beg and borrow… I felt so pitiful at that time in my life but I just knew I had to learn if I was to stand any chance of succeeding online.
Well I did start learning and applying the techniques I learnt from John and guess what… they worked.
I paid back the two thousand dollars eventually and started to make a consistent income online. What a nice change…I saw hope finally.
Over the next few months, more and more things started making sense and I really got it. I launched website after website. Not all made big dollars but over all they did line my pockets with the stuff to pay the bills.
Finally I started to get involved into the big boys club and well on my way to a wealthy lifestyle. Still had a huge debt to pay but it is coming sown now and I was starting to finally feel like I was someone who could take positive steps in life now all thanks to the internet and Mr John Bertone.
These days I am actually working on many internet marketing projects as I’m looking seriously at retiring at the age of forty. I’ve even become so good at what I do that John himself has a number of joint ventures with me…how about that.
I have always learnt to never take anything for granted and that you should always give back to that which has been kind to you. That’s how I came about developing this internet marketing guide.
The guide is primarily for beginners and for those internet marketing entrepreneurs much like I was in the beginning that are struggling and really don’t know what to do next… This free guide is my way of giving back to the industry that is so kind to me now.
The answers to internet marketing success are available and when you apply the right techniques you too can make a comfortable living from the internet too. When it finally comes it can come rather fast so don’t be surprised if you are one to really go after your dream if you start making a small fortune fast.
